Forum Engineering Inc. was established in April 1981. Over four decades, it built deep expertise placing engineers in the right roles across Japan's manufacturing sector, becoming one of Japan's most trusted HR institutions. Under the leadership of President and CEO Tsutomu Sato, Forum Engineering continued to evolve, integrating AI-driven skills matching to modernise recruitment for a new era. In December 2025, KKR completed a strategic acquisition of Forum Engineering, reinforcing its commitment to scaling AI-driven hiring globally.
Cognavi India was born from that legacy, Forum Engineering's Indian arm, established in October 2022 to bring over four decades of workforce expertise to one of the world's largest and fastest-growing talent markets. In 2022, we developed our proprietary Position AI matching and Human AI assessments. By 2023, we launched the full platform, student portal, recruiter dashboard, and university hub.
